OVERCOMING IMPOSTER SYNDROME
OVERCOMING IMPOSTER SYNDROME
Free In-person event – Captains Club Hotel, Christchurch, Dorset.
Monday, 27th March 2023, 19:00 – 20:30
Imposter syndrome isn’t a syndrome. It’s a mindset made of self-doubt, anxiety and lack of confidence. Find out how to change this mindset in this free workshop.
When we think of imposter syndrome, we think of feelings of being a fraud, waiting to get found out. Imposter syndrome includes thoughts of self-doubt, fear, and a lack of confidence. But imposter syndrome can sometimes run a little deeper than that.
Imposter syndrome is common when we start a new role, weather that’s a job, promotion, starting a new business, or even becoming a parent for the first time.
But what if the self-doubt and anxiety stick around? Sometimes the feeling of being an imposter, fraud, or fake, doesn’t seem to pass.
In other words, we’ve been told to fake it until we make it, but the ‘making it’ part never seems to materialise.
In my work, I’ve found that the more we go through life faking it, or pretending, the more we feel like an imposter. This common advice of faking it until we make it, seems to have a pitfall – we feel like we’re hiding something.
The thing is, if we continue to fake it, trying to prove ourselves, then this actually erodes our confidence.
In this workshop, discover a new perspective on imposter syndrome and find out how to shift your mindset and build real confidence. Transcend what’s been getting in the way of you becoming truly confident at what you do.
Some of what we’re cover in this event:
- Explore how the amount you ‘fake it’, directly correlates with the feeling of imposter syndrome
- Discover the sometimes subtle ways we keep ourselves from feeling confident
- Learn what’s keeping your imposter syndrome going
- Explore how perfectionism prevents confidence
- Come away with a new perspective on imposter syndrome, confidence, self-doubt, and anxiety
- Gain clarity on the actions to take to instil robust confidence
- Reduce the gap between who you really think you are, and the you that you portray to others
The workshop starts at 19:00, finishing with a Q&A by 20:30. There will be an opportunity for networking and drinks following the workshop. You may want to bring a notepad and pen with you.
Held at The Captains Club Hotel and Spa, Christchurch. Limited spaces available. Book below…
Peak Performance and Confidence Workshop
CAPTAINS CLUB HOTEL, CHRISTCHURCH, DORSET.
Saturday & Sunday, 8th & 9th July 2023, 9:30 – 16:30 both days
Break free of what limits you and create a life you love in this two-day Peak Performance Workshop
What if we could create who we wanted to be? What if we’ve already created ourselves? But what if most of what we create is below our current levels of awareness?
And what would it be like to have the power to consciously create who we want to be in life? To break free from what limits us and have what we truly desire?
When we’re holding ourselves back in some way, or if we’re feeling stuck in life it’s because we don’t know how to create our future, from the place we are right now. What leads us to inaction is our limiting beliefs, our programming and what I call our default self.
We created our default self, we just didn’t know we were doing it. Our default self got us this far, but maybe it’s time for you to consciously create a new self. One who you’d need or want to be, in order to move forward in life.
In this workshop overcome your limiting beliefs and create your new life, one that you love. This is an event that will help you unleash a newfound confidence and live your life in a way that inspires you.
Over the two-days we’ll be taking a deep dive into shedding the parts of ourselves that no longer serve a purpose. Using the latest neuroscience, coaching techniques, and psychology, we draw together the old and the new and unleash your full potential and reach your own peak performance.
What you can expect when you walk out of this workshop:
- Clarity around goals and more powerful results in work and life
- Less stress, less reactivity, and more creativity and inspiration
- More fulfilment in work and life
- Dramatically increase the quality of your relationships (with self and others)
- Stronger and more effective communication
- Greater confidence and wellbeing
- Less problems, and more opportunities
- Reduced procrastination and more focus, motivation and action
- Greater happiness and peace of mind
- Dramatically increased creativity in how you live your life
What do we mean when we say peak performance?
Performance is us being at our best. It is the you that you would be if you were your best self. Not your best self compared to somebody else’s best self, but the highest version of you.
When we talk about performance, we talk about productivity, motivation, clarity, goal-focused, presence, creativity, and if we’re really performing – flow state.
When we are at our best, we naturally access enjoyment, fulfilment and vitality.
So how do we access peak performance?
First, we have to see what’s limiting you. What’s getting in the way of your top performance. We have to see, and then transform our limiting beliefs.
We have to move out of sometimes subtle survival modes, and step into creating a thriving mindset and actions.
If you want to gain robust confidence, say goodbye to stress, worry and getting in your own way, then this two-day workshop is for you.
Some of what we’ll cover over the two days:
- What is peak performance?
- Blocks to performing at our best
- Overcoming our limiting beliefs
- Reinventing yourself
- Moving from our default future, to our created future
- And much more!
Held at The Captain’s Club Hotel & Spa, Christchurch, Dorset. Both days run from 9:30 – 16:30. Overnight accommodation available.
Cost: £175 (early bird price)
