Coaching isn’t therapy – that’s important to clarify right from the get-go.

While therapy can be a great way to solve specific problems, coaching is much broader and can be genuinely transformational for your personal and professional life.

Top professional sports coaches are a great example of that broad approach.

Look at Sir Alex Ferguson. He didn’t achieve what he did in football simply because he was a good football coach.

His influence and impact ran much deeper – he didn’t just coach his players on the training pitch; he coached them off it, too. He coached his young players in such a way that they excelled at life, as well as at football.

Personal coaching is about development and coaches should never on work on the surface because, frankly, it doesn’t work.

CORE LEVEL COACHING

A lot of personal development coaching won’t actually get to the root of what’s holding you back.

It’s like putting a plaster on a cut that needs stitches – it will stop the bleeding for a while, but long-term the problem will only get worse.

Core level coaching looks at what it means to be a human being and acknowledges, firstly, why struggles are inevitable.
